We Are With You are offering the exciting opportunity to join our award winning Community Link Worker team in Glasgow, take a closer look!
Due to expansion of the service, we have more than 10 full and part time new jobs available in some of the most interesting and diverse communities in Glasgow including: Maryhill, Woodside, Townhead, Bridgeton, Toryglen, Knightswood and Kings Park
You will be based in a GP practice or practices providing a combination of 1:1 and small group support to people referred to you by the Practice team. The role is a ‘generalist’ role; meaning that you will see people facing all kinds of health and wellbeing challenges; including low level mental health difficulties, disability, long term conditions, bereavement, poverty, relationship difficulties, experience of trauma, housing problems, parenting challenges to name just some.
Your remit is to offer evidence based interventions to motivate people and to link them with the right tools, community support or services to improve their wellbeing. This is done using face to face, online and telephone work.
Community Link Workers build up great connections and local presence; so as to strengthen the connection between the GP Practice and the community. Community Link Workers also have a role in supporting the GP Practice to look at wellbeing for the Practice.
If it sounds like a busy, interesting and challenging job, that’s because it is!
It is a great time to join our organisation as a Community Link Worker; we provide Community Link Worker services in three different locations in Scotland; and have a really strong focus on a positive team culture and learning. Our staff team report really high levels of job satisfaction, feeling well supported and that they can see a real impact of their work.
