The digital service design team is a small, multi-disciplinary team which is working to help us realise the potential of technology to transform outcomes, delivery and experience of services.
We’re looking for a Front-end Developer to join us for a fixed term project to develop online tools and advice for people over the age of 50 who may be worried about their drinking.
Much of the support currently given to over 50s, their families and concerned others as well as professionals, is done either face to face or by telephone. This is a great opportunity to innovate and find new ways for people to access self-help and advice for alcohol problems and to help us reach more people.
You will work in an agile, multi-disciplinary team with product, research and design to develop accessible, intuitive web-based tools based on user needs.
What we’re looking for
You’d bring a solid understanding of writing accessible, performant JavaScript, CSS and HTML for the browser.
A working knowledge of server-side development frameworks (such as Django) and cloud based platforms (eg Heroku) is a plus.
Summary of job
This is a 6 month fixed term role initially and we are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible.
Ideally full-time however part-time and/or flexible working may be considered.
Inner London Weighting of £2,759.00 will be paid in addition to basic salary if based in London.
