We are looking for a Community Links Worker to join our Argyll and Bute Community Link Worker Service to be based in Lochgilphead with monthly travel to Islay.
Our Community Link Workers are based in a GP practice and provide a combination of 1:1 and small group support to help people improve their health and wellbeing.
The Community Link Worker role is a ‘generalist’ role; meaning that you will see people facing all kinds of health and wellbeing challenges; including low level mental health difficulties, loneliness, disability, long term conditions, bereavement, poverty, relationship difficulties, experience of trauma, housing problems and parenting challenges to name just some.
Community Link Workers offer interventions to support and motivate people to improve their health and wellbeing; and link them with the right tools, community support and services. This is done using face to face, online, telephone and community appointments.
Community Link Workers build up great connections and local presence in the community so as to strengthen the connection between the GP Practice and the community.
It is an excellent time to join our organisation as a Community Link Worker. We provide Community Link Worker services in four different locations in Scotland and have a really strong focus on a positive team culture and learning. Our staff team report really high levels of job satisfaction, feel well supported and see a real impact of their work.
