This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new team working nationally across 4 locations (Sefton, Lancashire, Cornwall and Kent) to deliver ‘Another Chance’ to YP (under 18 years old).
The main aim is to reduce the criminalisation of young people to divert them from the criminal justice system. At the point of arrest, (where Class B or C drugs are a factor) a young person will be offered this restorative programme and if they engage with this process they will avoid further criminal prosecution.
What this means is working collaboratively with Policing partners, the wider YP substance misuse service, evaluators and funders , the service will divert away from Criminal justice by offering young people the opportunity to engage with With You.
We are looking for 4 workers to fulfil this project;
1 FT (37.5 hours a week) worker to cover the Kent area
1 FT (37.5 hours) worker to cover the Cornwall area
1 FT (37.5 hours) worker to cover the Lancashire area
1 PT (30 hours) worker to cover the Sefton area
You will be based at the service’s locality base but traveling throughout the borough to meet the needs of the YP will be essential. It is a requirement therefore that you have a full driving licence and your own vehicle.
Service base locations are shown below
Kent: Faversham
Cornwall: Truro (main base) or Liskeard or Penzance
Lancashire: Preston, Lancaster or Burnley
Sefton: Southport or Bootle
