We Are With You are recruiting a Team Leader for the brand new Argyll and Bute Community Link Worker Service. This is an exciting new role for a flexible individual who wants to combine leading a small team whilst still being a frontline Community Links Worker. The Team Leader’s time will be split between managerial tasks and Community Link Worker provision. The post can be based in one of the following locations; Oban, Lochgilphead, Campbeltown, Dunoon, Bute or Helensburgh. The hours will be 30 or 37.5 hours depending on location.
The Community Links Team are based in GP Practises and see people facing all kinds of health and wellbeing challenges; including low level mental health difficulties, loneliness, disability, long term conditions, bereavement, poverty, relationship difficulties, experience of trauma, housing problems and parenting challenges to name just some.
Community Links Workers offer interventions to support and motivate people to improve their health and wellbeing; and link them with the right tools, community support and services. This is done using face to face, online, telephone and community appointments.
The Team Leader will build a strong profile for the service and themselves, and represent the service to stakeholders, networkers and forums; so you should have good presentation and networking skills.
It is an excellent time to join our organisation as a Team Leader; we provide Community Link Worker services in four different locations in Scotland; and have a really strong focus on a positive team culture and learning. The post holder will be supported by the Contracts Manager to deliver the service.
We Are With You have been providing support services in Argyll and Bute since 2015, and we’ve strong connections and presence across the whole region.
What we’re looking for
Do you have a real passion for helping people improve their health and wellbeing?
Are you good at supporting colleagues and building team spirit?
Are you good at coming up with ideas and working on action plans?
Do you have good knowledge about the health and wellbeing services in Argyll and Bute and easily make connections with people?
Can you keep yourself and others well organised and work to a service model?
Do you have insight into health inequalities and ways to tackle them?
Are you qualified to SVQ Level 3 in Social Services and Health Care or Community Development or above?
The service will be based initially in GP Practises in Oban, Lochgilphead, Campbeltown, Dunoon, Bute or Helensburgh. You should be comfortable using digital communications as their will be a good deal of online work. Some travel will also be required, to be discuss further at interview

Core hours of work will be between Mon-Friday 9am -5pm, with very occasional evening and/or weekend work.
This post can be either full time at 37.5 hours or part time as 30 hours, to be discussed at interview.
